I spent way too much money today. I wouldn't let Delila pay for me at lunch. No matter how much she pouted. Then, because of the clothes I was wearing, I didn't dare take the bus and then walk the block to my apartment. So I got a taxi , so that I could get dropped at the curb. Even then I'd run in. It wasn't until I was behind the safety of my locked doors did I finally breathe , I think, from yesterday. What a crazy twenty-four hours. Going to the only bedroom in the apartment , which was tiny, there was only enough room for a three-quarter bed, one wardrobe and a chest of drawers. I'd nailed a full length mirror to one wall.
