Elijah’s POV,
‘Is she, my mate?’ I thought as I was completely bewitched by her beauty.
Another gunshot made me come to reality. I can’t let them hurt her. Even if she is not my mate, I can’t let them hurt an innocent girl.
She looked so pure and innocent.
She is everything I wanted in my woman.
I couldn’t break the eye contact. I just couldn’t. I wanted to look into those deep emerald-green globes for the rest of my life.
But if she is near me, they will hurt her. I can’t afford that.
I didn’t want to scare her but that was the only solution I could think of.
I looked at her with a darkened expression and growled.
She was terrified. She took a step back in fear.
‘Good girl! Now hide behind the trees and save yourself’ I thought as I was moving towards her.
