Chapter 1
Cora and Carolina were the only two daughters of their parents. While Carolina was married to a very wealthy man in the city, Cora Brown was living in the village with their parents. Although Cora was a graduate, she did not have a good job in the village.
Cora and Carolina were both fair in complexion and looked alike, but Carolina was 24 years old, while Cora was 22 years old and slimmer than Carolina.
Cora picked up her phone and placed a call to Carolina, telling her about her intention of moving to the city to get a better job, as opposed to staying in their rural village.
"Sister, I want to come and live with you in the city and get a better job there," Cora said on the phone call to Carolina, and Carolina replied, "Fine, I will have to speak to Martin first about it."
"Okay," Cora answered, and the phone call finally ended.
Carolina had no choice but to speak to her husband, Martin Elliott, about it. Martin Elliott is a dark-skinned man, 34 years of age, with deep blue eyes and a short mustache beard on his face. He is the CEO of Elliott Hotel and Suites and owns many other top companies in the state.
Martin had met Carolina at his hotel when she attended her only best friend's birthday party. Carolina was 22 years old when he met her and fell in love with her. He approached her sitting alone at the lounge, sipping on her fruit juice, and spoke to her, "Hi, do you want some fruit juice?"
"Huh," Carolina blushed, staring up at the tall, handsome, well-dressed man in a business black suit, meeting his direct gaze. He then sat down beside her on the couch and confessed his feelings, "I really like you, Miss. May I know your name?"
"Huh," Carolina was dumbfounded by Martin's handsomeness. He was already asking for her name and mobile contact, and she only assumed that he wanted to have her phone number stored in his phone, as he seemed much older than her to be considered her boyfriend. However, she had no choice but to give him her phone number, as she had never been in a relationship before.
Martin later proposed to Carolina after they met, and he invited her to his house, where her jaw dropped upon seeing that he was indeed a billionaire, the real owner of Elliott Group, as she had thought he was a staff there.
Martin wasted no time and went down on one knee, proposing to Carolina in his living room, asking, "Please, Carolina Brown, will you marry me?"
Carolina was still trying to get accustomed to the fact that Martin was a very powerful man, and she was from a poor family background. Although she knew that he truly liked and cared for her, seeing him still kneeling on the tiled floor waiting for her answer, she had no choice but to say "Yes" to him.
Fast-forward to the present, Carolina spoke to Martin inside their bedroom as she was still sitting on the bed.
"Honey, I want to travel home tomorrow to go and bring Cora to come and live here with us."
While Carolina sat on the king-size bed in her long white nightgown, having just woken up, it was a bright Friday morning. Martin stood bare, with a white long towel in his hand, drying his wet, toned body after finishing his bath.
Martin frowned, as he didn't like the idea of Carolina bringing her younger sister, Cora, to live with them. He remembered seeing Cora before when he traveled to Carolina's village to officially marry her in the traditional way. And Cora was an extremely different person from Carolina.
Although he didn't stay in Carolina's parents' poor home, as he only married Carolina and left with her the following day to the city after lodging for a night in a hotel, Martin could tell that Cora was a corrupt young lady, and he didn't want someone like her in his home, even though she was his wife's only sibling.
"Babe, we just got married, and instead of you focusing on us making babies, you're thinking of traveling to your village to bring your only sister here to live with us. No, babe," Martin refused, continuing to dry his wet, toned body with the white towel.
"Why, babe? Why are you against me bringing Cora to live with us here in the city? Is it because you don't have any siblings?" Carolina questioned him with a frown, but then she saw the look of hurt flash in her husband's eyes at the mention of him not having any siblings, as he was the only child of his billionaire parents.
Martin frowned and wrapped the towel around his waist, walking to his wardrobe to take out his black suit, as he was already leaving for the office.
Carolina stood up from the bed and walked up to meet her husband, as he pulled out his black suit to wear it. She wrapped her arms around him and apologized, "I'm sorry, babe."
"Hmm," Martin was silent at first, and Carolina realized she shouldn't have said those words to him, as his parents were still nice to her despite her multiple miscarriages.
"Please, babe, forgive me, but Cora is my only sister, and I can't leave her in the village to suffer when she can actually get a good job here, please."
Carolina hugged Martin's waist tightly from behind, as he was taller than her, and she wasn't up to his shoulder height.
Martin sighed and finally turned to face his wife. He could feel his member hardening from her warm embrace on his previously cold body that had automatically turned hot.
He said to her, "It's okay, babe. It's not that I don't want you to go and bring your sister here, only that I don't want anything to come between us or your sister's relationship with you."
"Nothing will," Carolina replied, and Martin finally agreed, as he loved his wife very much. He said, "Fine, you can travel to the village tomorrow, and bring Cora here with you on Sunday, as I don't want you to stay too long in your village. You know that I can't stay a day here without you by my side."
Martin kissed Carolina on the lips and carried her up to his chest, taking her straight to their bed, where he pulled off his white towel and joined her to make love.
The following Saturday morning, Carolina set out to travel to her village as discussed with her husband. She wore a milk-colored long gown and black shoes after finishing her bath and creaming her body.
Martin was also around, wearing a business black suit with an inner red sleeve shirt and black shoes, as he escorted Carolina out to his garage, outside his duplex mansion.
Martin paused and spoke to Mark, who was Carolina's personal driver and bodyguard.
"Ensure that you drive safely and bring my wife here, with her sister, tomorrow, safe and sound."
"Yes, boss, I will," Mark replied, a light-skinned man dressed in a light blue shirt, black trousers, and black shoes, as he stood beside the black SUV waiting.
Martin pulled Carolina close again and sealed his lips on hers before opening the back door for her and helping her get into the backseat. He then said to her, "Bye, babe, I'll miss you."
"Me too," Carolina replied, and Martin carefully shut the back door as Mark got into the driver's seat and drove the car out to Carolina's village.
