Jamie knew instantly there was something wrong when she woke up suddenly. A feeling of dread consumed her as she looked around the room. She noticed that Eric was not there and called him.
“Eric? Eric?” Are you there my love?” Jamie mind linked.
There was nothing but silence. Suddenly, her Crone’s mark started to burn.
“I sense a presence in the cellar! Hurry, Eric is in danger!” Vanth suddenly screamed in her mind.
Jamie wasted no time in teleporting herself into the cellar, for a split second she saw Eric with a monster before disappearing.
“Eric!” Jamie screamed in fury.
“Ok, calm down...we will find him!” Vanth mind-linked sensing that Jamie was about to lose complete control. There was one thing that was sure to upset Gods and Demons alike, and that was taking their Mate.
“Where is he? Where is my Mate?” Jamie roared as she transported herself into the middle of King’s Forest. Vanth magicked some clothes on her, but Jamie could not care less! Jamie’s wings sprang forth, blazing furiously with purple fire. Jamie’s whole body started to glow as her full Goddess powers were beginning to be released.
“Who would DARE steal my Mate?” Jamie’s voice boomed.
Jamie’s earth element responded to her anger by forming a tower of rock underneath her feet. It grew until it reached into the sky.
“I will show these mortals what a mistake it was to take my Mate!” she roared.
The sky grew black, as the wind picked up. The ground began to rumble as lightning began to strike the ground. Jamie ordered the rivers to break their banks and the Seas to flood inland. Every animal in the realm felt her rage. Jamie heard the birds come to her call and form a huge protective flock around her.
“Find him! Find, my Mate!” Jamie ordered and every animal started to look for Eric. Millions of images flooded her mind, but none of them was of her Mate.
“Eric was gone and no longer in this realm!” Vanth concluded.
Jamie screamed in anger and said, “You will see what an unmerciful Goddess I can be!”
“No! Don’t do this Jamie! Stop it now!” Vanth screamed panicked.
Suddenly, instead of her wings burning purple, they burnt midnight black along with the rest of her body. “I brought you life and now I will bring you death!” Jamie boomed.
A black cloud began to formed around her and started to move down the tower onto the ground. Everything it touched died instantly before withering away as it expanded quickly.
“Elements feel my anger and use it to destroy this world!” Jamie said. That was the last thing she said before she saw Amon appear in front of her.
“Loki, now!” Amon ordered and Jamie felt two hands at either side of her head.
“Sleep now, Princess!” Loki ordered and Jamie could feel herself drifting off.
“Nooo!” Jamie screamed, but it was too late she fell into darkness.
Amon caught her as she collapsed in his arms. “Is she?” Amon asked.
“Still fighting me? Yes, very much so! Whatever you are going to do Alpha, you need to do it quickly!” Loki said as he went back to concentration.
A blue demon shimmered in next to them. “Dion and the mortal King have got the room ready and Harper has put a chaos barrier around it. Combine with Dion’s Arcane magic, it should hold her for a bit!” Dagon said unsure.
“Good!” Amon said as they all transported to a room.
It was in the mountains away from everything, in an old castle. Amon had scouted out possible locations just in case something like this ever happened. Though truth be told, he always thought it would be him trapped here, not Jamie! Dion, King Stephan and Harper were waiting for them.
“Is she OK?” Dion asked as Amon laid her on the bed in the room.
“I think we should be more worried about ourselves!” Dagon remarked.
The unleashing of Princess’s power could be felt across the Mortal and God Realms. It was only because Loki’s human, Lux, was a powerful Dream Walker that they were able to subdue Jamie before her anger destroyed the Mortal Realm.
Amon stepped back and nodded. Harper, Dion and King Stephan nodded and cast a spell. The whole room shimmered before two barriers, one black and one dark blue, formed.
“You can let her go now Loki” Amon commanded and Loki nodded. As soon as Loki released Jamie from his power, she sprang up from her bed. Confused Jamie looked around until she saw them all.
“Amon!” Jamie rushed forward before being stopped by a barrier. “Amon?” Jamie asked in a confused and hurt voice.
“I am sorry Princess, but..” Amon started to say.
“Eric has been taken! Please, let me out! I need to find him!” Jamie shouted.
“I can’t do that..” Amon was about to explain how it was too dangerous.
“Can’t or won’t?” Jamie demanded as she started to batter the barrier. She threw Fire Balls at the barrier, but it did not work. The barrier just shimmered and then stayed put, much to Jamie’s frustration. Every cell in her body was telling her to go find Eric.
“That is not fair! I see Eric as family, you know that!” Amon roared.
“I need to find him, please Amon! I don’t know where he is and I can feel his fear!” Jamie begged.
It was then the four hybrid generals looked at each other and Jamie realised something. “You know where he is, don't you!” Jamie said.
There was a silence and Jamie ordered “Tell me now!”
“He ..he is in Kyronus!” Amon admitted.
“Kyronus? The prison in the Chaos Realm?” Jamie said and the demons nodded. Well, we need to go rescue him! Let me out now!” Jamie said.
“Unfortunately Princess, we would be like a lit beacon to the Empress as soon as anyone of us stepped foot on Chaos soil,” Loki said.
“That means I still could go…especially if I shift! I won’t be so obvious!” Jamie said feeling a fragment of hope.
“No! You are not going to the Chaos Realm!” Amon suddenly roared.
“Yes, I am and there is no way you will be able to stop me!” Jamie shouted back.
“Leave us!” Amon commanded and everyone quickly scurried out of the room. As soon as they were gone, Amon walked through the Barriers and pinned Jamie’s arms above her head as he backed her against the wall.
“I am not scared of you!” Jamie snapped.
“You should be because you have no idea what depth of cruelty I will go to protect you, I warned you once that I would tear everyone you knew apart if they hurt you, so don’t think I won’t keep you locked in here forever. I am not losing you again!” Amon snapped as he crushed his lips on hers. Jamie called her air element and Amon went flying across the room.
“I am not some possession you can keep locked Amon! I am the Moonchild! Release me now and I will forgive this transgression!” Jamie said.
“Will you swear a blood oath that you won't try to rescue Eric or go to the Chaos realm?” Amon demanded as he got up. A blood oath meant that if Jamie broke it, her blood would boil. A painful concept even for a Goddess.
“You know I will not!” Jamie said through gritted teeth.
“Then you better get used to being in here Princess, because I am not releasing until you do!” Among said as he walked through the barriers.
“I hate you!” Jamie screamed.
Amon felt his heartbreak slightly as he heard his fated mate utter those words. He could feel her despair and pain through their mate bond, but it didn't matter. “You are welcome to hate me, it is a price I am willing to pay for me to protect you!” Amon growled as he walked out.
Jamie screamed in frustration before shapeshifting into a porcupine.
“I swear, I am coming for you my love!” she thought. She just needed to figure out how!
