Rory’s POV:
I hear footsteps in the room and open my eyes to check if it’s real or not. Soon after, light spills into the room as Doctor Valencia opens the curtains. The weather is dark and stormy, so my sleep-deprived eyes manage to adjust to the onslaught.
“So my king, according to the night nurse, your nightmares are back,” The good doctor states without question. “Do you want something for it this time?” I shake my head, but she doesn’t even look in my direction but continues to peer out the window. She knows I will refuse any medication. It might be nightmares, but I see them, my mates, in the dreams, and I’d rather be close to them and suffer than never see them at all.
