As soon as sleep and food more or less rejuvenated the king, we checked out portals. Staying in a world covered in magical snow that stole the senses was just that, senseless. Not knowing where to start, we just walked to the closest one and peered through. This one was full of guards, and we had hoped not to make our presence known before we got the hang of this portal jumping. So instead, we walked to the next one. Looking into the shimmering pool, we found a forest, much like the one we were in, but without the snow.
