Chapter 10 Desiree I wake up on the wrong side of the bed the next morning. I don’t know—maybe it’s just too much for me to process—grieving my little boy, being held in quasi-imprisonment by Junior. Having feelings for said captor and not wanting them. I’m mixed up, muddled up, miffed. I do my usual rounds with Gio, then shower and dress.
