Annie the blind doll

“Arrrrggghhh. Why won’t you work you stupid doll” Such were the words of the mad scientist, Sagan Smith who was recently discharged from a psychiatric unit in a far away city. Sagan was on a quest to invent the first human doll, that is a doll with life in it. But for the past three years all he invented were failed attempts. “Cool your circuits Sagan. By the way, I still don’t know why you want to create a human doll. Don’t we already have enough life forms in this vicinity already.” Said his wife; Megan a lazy and disbelieving woman in her mid forties with the sharp wits of a woman in her early twenties. You can say she got them from her husband. So together the unlikely pair, a mad scientist and a lazy tailor lived in a town far far away from all the people in the city, reasons best known to them. Theirs was a happy marriage with a few hitches. Sagan kept working on his project while Megan prepared lunch. It had been months since they last had any human food so Megan to prepare casserole since it was Sagan’s favorite meal and she was longing for the taste of human food.
