My Roommate, My worst Nightmare

Just let me love.....ve you, just let me lo- - ---ve you............., I heard my phone ringing. Setting aside the plates I was about washing, I decided to go check who had it in mind to give me a call at this time of the day, not that I'm complaining though, but well I don't really have that much contact on my phone, I just hope it ain't pipsqueak, because like right now, I do not,... Really do not have the time for her lengthy talks, man that girl talks like a parrot sometimes I wonder if she swallowed a live parrot though, blame me for thinking that way but these days weird things happen you know, you can't rule that one out,i might as well just ask her if she actually swallowed a parrot.

I made my way to the living room, where I supposedly left my phone before going to the kitchen, searched for it on the couch but couldn't find it, guess I was wrong, deciding to just follow the sound of the ring tone wherever it leads, ahaha finally found you, brushing my palm on my jean, (yeah call me dirty duhhhhhh, I do laundry myself ain't like y'all help me with that) Never mind, I'm just being silly . Deciding not to waste any more time before whoever the caller is decides not to call back, quickly picking up the phone from my bed, seeing the display of the caller ID, oh wow, wasn't actually expecting her call..

Do not misunderstand me ain't like I don't want her calling, but it's been a while since she's called, she's been distant and all not that I'm complaining anyway, swiping the answer button to receive the call before it hangs up....

"Lexx : hello aunt, good day" I said into the speaker "Aunty lily: Hi dear, good day to you too, how have you been Lexx: I've been good aunt how are you and everyone back at home. "Aunty lily: they are all fine my dear, how is studies and how is college treating you so far, hope no worries dear?. Aunt lily asked out of concerned

Lexx: college is fine aunt. Always top of the class, ain't ever letting you down, no worries I'm perfectly okay..

"Aunty lily: okay if you say so, are you coming home for break, your siblings misses you

Lexx: I probably should, I have a lot of projects assigned to do, if I'm able to finish them all before the break then I'll be home, if not I'll just wait till the end of session vacation, tell them I miss them also. I replied her missing home, I wish to go this semester break but I have so many projects to complete, and it would affect my GP if I fail to submit them before the semester ends, Tobias is the sole reason behind why I have so many assignments and projects hanging on my neck, due to my frequent absence from school.. We talked more about school and how my siblings are fairing back home and I decided to bring up the roommate issue..

Lexx: so the caretaker informed me few days ago that I'll be getting a roommate, she says she had discussed it with you, hope everything is alright aunt. I asked her

"Aunty lily: everything is alright, just a little financial setback but it's been taken care of, just manage for this session ok, by next year I'll pay the rent in full so you don't have to share with anyone, I know how you feel about sharing an apartment with a stranger, just manage for now OK..

Lexx : OK MA, it's alright I don't really have a problem with it, the other person will be using the room across mine so it shouldn't be a problem since we won't be sharing the same room, I can always take up part-time jobs if the bills is too much on you. You know I'm always willing to help.. I informed her,

Aunty lily: your parents would never approve of that if they were alive and I can't let you work.. Just focus on studying for now and make us proud when you graduate you can work all you want and help with the bills I won't complain then, but for now, no way I can handle everything, don't go around looking for jobs you understand" she scolded lightly.. I smiled at myself loving her the way she always looks out for me..

Lexx : I understand aunt, I'm just worried for you that's all, but soon as I graduate and I secure a good job I won't tolerate you rejecting my help anymore. I informed her smiling..... She agreed and we said our goodbyes before hanging up...

I sighed falling face flat on the bed, I guess I'll just have to deal with whoever my roommate ends up being, and I'm hoping it's not someone like Cassandra, I seriously pray so.. Having a girl like Cassandra as a roommate would be hectic God I don't think I'll be able to live with her to save my own life that girl is just border some.... I rolled around on my bed lazily thinking of what to do, checking the time on my phone to see its 15 mins past 4ockock..... Guess today is going to be a really really boring and long day....

Thinking of what to do to make my day less boring..'call Cassandra ' my subconscious suggested.. I thought about it for awhile before picking up my phone to call her, about dialing her number when I realized this is going to be a bad idea. 'abort mission,abort mission' I chanted in my head, I'm so going to regret it if I decide to call her.. No way...

Waoh, I never knew my life was actually this boring and quiet ,geez a college student in her 3rd year that basically have nothing fun to do to pass time, this is unheard of.. I sighed in frustration before rolling out of bed, might as well just do some cardio workout and probably go for a night walk in the pack before coming back in for the night.. ... I need to sleep early. Tomorrow is Sunday.. Gotta be in church for Sunday school I thought to myself.. As I made my way to the living to watch any available show before doing my workout... ' oh s**t the plates' I totally forgot about it I rushed to the kitchen to finish the task..
