CHAPTER 9 I scan every car on the way back to the SUV, my head swimming with information, but I don’t see anyone sitting in the driver’s seats. Good. Jeff has no reason to believe I stayed here, but it’s nice to verify that the area is free of hired guns. I slide into the passenger seat, the slamming of the door echoing though the lot.
