Chapter Four “Oh my God,” Mia said, leaning back in her chair with a groan of satisfaction and curling a hand over her stomach. “You weren’t exaggerating when you said the cheesecake was to die for, were you? My taste buds are doing a happy dance here.” Elias’s eyes glinted and his dimples appeared. “That’s a relief—I thought you were going to do a runner when we first got here.” Mia shot him an apologetic look. “I’m sorry. I’m—” He held a hand up. “No need, Mia. Honestly. I’m just glad you stuck around and that you enjoyed the meal.” She smiled. “Very much so. Trouble is, we’ve been on a private Thames cruise and eaten in what you say is possibly the best restaurant in the country—I know you’re a guy with resources and friends in high places, but how are you ever going to top that?”
