Heaven Venezia:-
"Psst, you think I am an i***t to think you are just an innocent Heaven Venezia? An innocent wife of viscious Don?" Carmen snort and rolled her eyes "Do you really take me as a fool?"
"Well, I don't just take you as a fool but a loser too, but carry on. Tell me why would you think that I am not an innocent wife of viscious Don?"I asked "I am not an assassin, Carmen."
"Just because you are the daughter of a fierce, loyal and patriotic cop, doesn't mean you are just like him." when Carmen brought my dead father into this, I clenched my fist and held myself back from killing her. She knew my father is my sensitive point, which is why she hit right over there.
"Don't you dare bring my father into this or I will forget that you are a filthy burden that I have to bear until I find a way to save Giovanni." I spoke with gritted teeth "Do you want to live or not?"
"Oh, come on. You are not going to kill me and you know that. So, will you do it?" she asked "The more time you are wasting, the more you are putting your husband's life in danger."
"You think you are the ace in the game. Dont' you?" I asked with a grin "But, I will show you who rules the game when the time comes and as for the deal. I will agree under my terms."
"You are in no position to negotitate, Donna." she laughs, thinking she is winning over here.
"Of course, I am." I grinned "You want those restrictions to be removed or not? Do you want me to do your dirty work or not?"
"Wow, so you are thinking of working for me." her eyes lit up as she has been given her favorite candy.
"No, I am not going to work for you. I am going to work with you under a deal. That's it." I growled "Watch your words, b***h. Isn't what your father call his one and only daughter? A b***h?"
"I am going to f*****g kill you!" this made her shout and lose control "You dont' know anything." I brought her father on purpose because I needed to know her weak point and I think I found it, but unfortunately, now is not the right time to use that. Not until I find the way to save Giovanni. I need to do something to something, to make sure he doesn't want that drug again, but until then I have to bear this f*****g b***h. But, I swear once Giovanni recovers, I am going to give her a painful death myself.
"Are you ready to make a deal or not?" I asked, ignoring her tantrum, staring right into her eyes. My eyes were cold while her were filled with anger, but there was something else too, that I wanted to see.
And finally I saw Carmen as she was piling ugliness upon her face – a glimpse of fear, which was masked so well behind the temper. Good. It made her more aware that, with or without a deal, I possess something she could never keep from dictating.
"Alright," she muttered between clenched teeth making it clear that she was angry. "State your terms, then."
I bent my head, struggling to maintain a calm and relaxed tone but filled with authority.
"First, I will work alone. I will do your ‘assignments’ my way and you have no say in the matter. Second, there cannot be any compromise about Giovanni’s safety. You will make sure that he gets every dose until I come up with another plan."
Carmen frowned, but did not protest.
"Fine, but you are dreaming because you can't find anything to save him, What's the third?" she asked.
"And third…?" I attributed determination into my words, looking her straight in the eye, "You stay away from my family. If you even whisper their names or threaten to reveal them or use them as leverage, I will kill you no matter what happens."
She laughed coldly. "You talk big, Donna. But I’ll humor you… for now. I agree to your terms."
I stood up, determination girding me up inside.
"Then it’s settled. We have a deal—for now. But remember, Carmen: I am the one with whom you agreed to negotiate, not the one you command. You understand?"
Carmen gave a mocking smile.
"Well, you’d better get used to lurking in the dark, Donna. You are about the find out just how evil this world indeed is as your dearest husband only show the beauty of it, not the darkness."
"One of my men is going to kick you out of the mansion. After that, call whoever you want and step out of my property and never dare to come here again. I will come to you myself or send Rick or Cedric. Understood?" I asked and she rolled her eyes but nodded.
"My men are already waiting outside, Donna, to take me back home, because I knew I will walk out of here alive and with a deal." she said with a wink "Now, ask your f*****g men to unchain me."
I scowled at her and got up quickly, refusing to look at her any longer. Carmen can think she was having the upper hand this time but she is dealing with the wrong person. This was not surrender but tactics. The game had not even started but she would soon know who was in control. That who the real boss is. It's not me, but my husband that she is underestimating. I know, my husband and I know he will rise with more power.
"You are seriously not planning to do those missions yourself. Are you?" Rick adn Cedric asked when I stepped out of the dungeon, where they heard everything through the speaker, concern and worry masked on their face.
"Is Giovani awake?" I refuse to answer their question.
"Yes, and he is asking for you." Cedric answered "He has been shifted to your room."
"Heaven, we are not done talking." Rick growled "You are not doing this."
"Yes, I am so you all better get ready to work with me. I am the Donna, your boss, and you follow my lead. No other way around. Do you got that?" I snapped, refusing the show the weakness and need to cry that was building inside of me. These last twelve hours of my life has been the worst and lot to take in. I just need to be alone or with Giovanni.
