Questioning

Light pored through the windows of Isabella's room, reflecting iridescent patterns of light across the walls. Isabella sat up, yawning with a stretch. She looked toward the wall where the tapestry had been pulled back and the secret passage door had been left ajar. Quickly throwing the blankets off, she ran to the door with a slight panic following her. The door had never been left open. It was never to be left open. Closing the distance with graceful speed, she slowed at the sight of Rose sleeping in the small hidden hallway . She had curled up on the cold floor with a blanket and pillow, leaving Isabella with a sense of relief and sadness for this broken wolf. Lowering herself down next to Rose's sleeping form, Isabella gently pulled Rose's head into her lap and ran her fingers through her hair. Pulling the blankets up around Rose's shoulders, her eyes glazed over onyx as she sent a mind-link to Olivia and Erik. "Olivia dear, could I ask you to bring up a tray of food for Rose please, and see if there are any clothes in storage that would possibly fit her very small frame." Isabella waited around 30 seconds for a reply. Suddenly Olivia chimed in, "On it Isa! I'm throwing together a tray now and I'll have Mary help bring up some tea and get the girls to fill the tub for you. Be up momentarily!" "Thank you, you're the best Olivia! Grab some extras for both Erik and yourselves and well have a late breakfast when Rose has been bathed and dressed." Isabella smiled to herself, Olivia was always a step ahead. "You know i was wondering why I was privy to this conversation. I'm changing and I'll be up soon." Erik said before closing off. Isabella laughed, closing out the mind-link as her eyes reverted to her dark emerald. Isabella sat quietly running her fingers through Rose's hair and leaned her head back against the wall, closing her eyes. Ignoring the sound of the bedroom door opening, she inhaled deeply, the scent of fresh cut lavender and lilacs filling the room instantly. She listened as the sound of several pairs of feet walking in and out of the room pouring buckets of water into the tub. Hearing a pair of light footsteps quietly making their way towards her, she looked over to see Mary's bright smile standing next to the desk setting down a wooden clothes chest. Mary pointed down to the chest and then to Rose, indicating that the clothes for Rose were contained within. Isabella nodded with a smile to Mary and watched as she pulled a small square cloth from her pocket and left it on top of the chest before curtseying and scurrying off behind the other two girls as they left. The unmistakable scent of Olivia's sage and jasmine perfume entered the room before her quiet, small footsteps did. Olivia smiled at Isabella, slightly confused as she took in the scene before her and quirked an eyebrow. Isabella shrugged her shoulders in response and looked at the chest of clothing left next to the desk and back at Olivia. As Olivia removed the clothing from within the chest, she laid them over the back of the chair next to her and pulled out the satchel of hair accessories at the bottom of the chest. Closing the now empty chest, she pushes it under the desk and starts to hang the clothing in the closet. As Rose begins to stir, Isabella carefully pushes the rouge strands of hair from her face and smiles down at her. She had already thought about today and decided that Rose would need time away from the Castle to relax and open up. Today will be a day for an outing. Erik would be switching off with another guard soon and Isabella would ask him to accompany them on a carriage ride through the region. Rose would need to know how to get around and where the boundaries of the region ended. Which roads would take her to the nearby towns, and what packs were close to the castle. Roses needed a quick lesson on how to be a Luna, perhaps not for a lengthy time, but so that she was comfortable even when the MoonTemple annulled the marriage. Rose would under no circumstances return to the pack she came from, but she would not be abandoned by her new pack. Isabella softly woke Rose as she had begun a wrestless sleep and that would not do. As Rose opened her eyes they met those of Isabellas, filled with a hint of worry and sadness drifting through dark emerald. Sitting up, Rose turned and pulled the blanket up around her shoulders with a slight shiver. Smiling, Isabella stood and held out her hand to Rose, who took it with hesitation. Pulling Rose up onto her feet, she waited for her to catch her bearings before leading her out of the small hallway and shutting the doorway behind them. Rose yawned and rubbed her eyes, sniffing the air at the smell of lavender and lilacs filling the room in a warm haze. "Ah! our Luna wakes! " Shouted Olivia with a soft giggle. Isabella laughed before adding, "She wakes! And pretty as a belladonna if i may say so myself! How lucky we are!" Rose blushed slightly and attempted to fix the hair which flowed around her in a frizzled mess. "Dont worry dear, we're going to fix ya right up and eat some breakfast before taking a trip." Said Isabella matter of factly. Olivia gently pulled the blanket off of Rose's shoulders and Isabella untied the front of Rose's cream-colored nightgown before pulling it up and over the top of Rose's head. Throwing the nightgown onto the ground next to the tub, Isabella took Rose's hands and helped her into the warm milky bath water as Olivia poured in a sweet smelling almond oil and another sprinkle of fresh flowers. Isabella sat on her knees next to the tub washing Rose's arms and legs and brushing the remaining oil through her hair before plating it into a long fishtail braid. Olivia quietly snuck out the door after Isabella and herself had gotten Rose out of the tub and dried completely, leaving Isabella to help pick out her clothes. Isabella riffled through the new clothing that Olivia had hung in the closet and turned to Rose, staring at her thin form wrapped in the large fluffy blue towel. "What color are you thinking of today? A royal blue would pair very well with your hair.... but plum would bring out the crystal gray of your eyes ....." Isabella trailed off in thought as she stared at Rose. "Um .... blue I suppose would be lovely, Ma'am." Rose said so softly it was barely heard by Isabella. With a nod, Isabella pulled out a royal blue dress from the closet and threw it onto the bed, leaving the hanger in between the rest of the clothing before closing the closet doors. Isabella motioned for Rose to follow her to the bed and began to untie the front of the dress, smoothing out the inner layer of fabric that would keep her warm. Hesitantly, Rose walked over to the bed and stared quizzically down at what looked like a mess of fabric and strings. With a laugh Isabella gently pulled the towel off of Rose and dropped it onto the floor, trying hard to ignore Amber who was now awake and purring at the sight of Rose's bare form in the irridecent light of the windows. "So this dress is a bit tricky at first, but then you'll get the hang of it in no time. Just watch what I do." Isabella said while blushing brightly. Lifting the dress above Rose's head, she pulled it down over her, letting the fabric cascade down against her pale soft skin and pool around her feet. Letting Rose put her arms into the sleeves, she wrapped the warm linen inner layer across her chest, tying it into place and repeating the same steps with the outer royal blue layer. Isabella fixed the top of the dress, which now very effectively showed off Rose's ample cleavage with a sweetheart neckline and fitted silk sleeves. Leaning down, she fixed the front of the dress, buttoning up the hem to the pearl waist belt, allowing for the inner layer of cream silk to peek through the gathered fabric. Standing, Isabella grabbed a pair of wool boot-socks from the dresser drawer and smiled. "Come, let's get these socks and boots on you so you don't freeze outside." Rose sat uncomfortably on the edge of the bed as Isabella pulled the warm wool socks up and onto her thighs, sending that electric shock coursing through her body. Isabella stopped as the electric spark of the mated bond shot through her finger tips, causing her wolf to purr and howl softly with excitement. Tyeing the socks up with a satin ribbon, Isabella softly trailed her fingers down Rose's legs and pulled down the front of her dress before standing. Immediately, she turned away from Rose and walked back over to the closet, opening it up and pulling out a pair of pants and a shirt before taking off her own nightgown and shoving it into one of the drawers. Pulling on a pair of fitted black pants, Isabella turned, pulling the soft satin black shirt over her head and letting the fabric hug her small waist. Digging through one of the dresser drawers she pulled out a black unberbust corset with silver filagree and gold lacing. Once she had laced up the front of the corset, she pulled on a pair of wool socks that had been stuck inside her boots near the dresser and then laced up the black riding boots after adorning them. Isabella let her hair fall naturally around her shoulders, looking in the mirror as she placed a small rosegold circlet nestled into her hair. Turning, she grabbed a pair of white leather boots from next to the closet and walked over to Rose, slipping them onto her feet and tying them around her ankles. Standing up, she held out her hand, helping Rose to her feet and reached up, pushing a rouge strand of hair from Roses face. The feeling of warm electricity shot through her body and Isabella leaned forward, kissing Rose deeply and passionately. The taste of honey on Rose's lips only enticed her more. Grasping Rose's waist and pulling her small form against her own, Isabella deepened the kiss. The feeling of Rose's hands softly resting on her arms was just enough to snap Isabella out of it as she pulled away and attempted to compose herself before speaking. "I'm so sorry Rose, I didn't mean to! It was just the bond and my wolf prodding at me and ...." She turned to see Rose blushing a bright crimson red and attempting in vain to gather herself as she nodded. "Don't be sorry Ma'am. I felt it too and i apologize that I did not stop myself. It wont happen again. I apologize!" Squeaked out Rose in embarrassment and frustration. Quickly, Isabella grabbed hold of Rose's hands and squeezed them softly, "No no no, you did nothing wrong! The bond and these selfishly annoying wolves are getting the better of us. Forgive my boldness , the door opened before she could reply. Quiet laughter could be heard as the door opened, both Oliva and Erik stepping into the room carrying a covered wooden tray each . Erik stopped and smiled at the two Lunas, who clearly looked as if they had a very awkward moment which had been interrupted. "Ahhhh good morning my beautiful Luna .... and Isa." Said Erik as he stuck his lounge out at Isabella. Oliva laughed and sat the tray on the table, pulling off the cloth covering to reveal an array of fresh fruit and yogurt next to small bowls of dried figs, apricots, and plums. Sitting down his tray next to Olivia's, he pulled off the cloth covering to reveal a pot of hot tea, four tea cups, and an array of fresh pastries stacked high. All four of them sat together at the small table. For now, they would eat in each other's company and enjoy their day of rest and comradery, getting to know their new Luna and friend. Rose would be welcomed into their pack with love and caring friends and a new family that would protect her until their last breaths. Luna or not, they all knew that Rose was now home and in a much better place than with her old pack.
