I am frozen in place. I don't even move when my mate approaches and hugs me tightly, kissing the top of my head both lovingly and playfully.
"Did you enjoy the hunt?" Jason asks, his voice laced with a promise. I can only imagine what he means, but it's enough to bring me back to reality.
"It was fun, I'm not going to lie." I giggle remembering my earlier quest.
"But.. my birthday is not until next month." I whisper so that only Jason would hear me, cringing hard at the sight in front of me and feeling bad that I might ruin the surprise and upset my friends and family.
If I look around, I can see that everyone is here, and I mean everyone. Even Jen and my lovely godson. I frown a bit, because surely my friend since childhood could have told everyone when my birthday is. I g
