The clinking sound of the dining utensils against the opal glass plate filled my ears as Naoko, and I ate breakfast at the dining table. Since we started eating, Naoko had never spoken again, maybe wanting to enjoy and savor the rich brownies that she brought with her. She told me that she was the one who made the brownie,s and she used a new recipe for that.   I put another slice of the brownie in my mouth and felt its soft and chewy texture against my tongue. The dessert was so rich in chocolate flavor like in those branded pastries or bakeshops that I used to visit before in Tokyo. I could tell from its taste that each brownie was made with expensive and high-quality ingredients and that she made those desserts carefully and passionately.
