On The Next Full Moon

Chapter Four

Trent POV

I could scarcely believe my best friends sister was my mate. Magnus had kept me up most the night with his talking. After training this morning, he wouldn't shut up, and led me to the Alpha’s house. “What the hell Magnus, we can't just walk into the Alpha’s house”, I said to him. “Get the hell in the house now!” He growled at me. He’s never acted like this before, then I smelled the faintest smell of freshly baked treats. 

I couldn't resist the smell, it completely took over all rational thought, I opened the front door and followed the scent of freshly baked cookies to Loralei’s room, and then my world stood still. I was confused, Jack is her mate, there had to be a mistake. Magnus kept telling me that she was our mate, and when she looked at me with surprise, I’d never been more scared in my life. What if she rejected me, my wolf howled in pain at the thought. 

I am so grateful that she is giving us a chance, I will do everything I can, to prove to her that she is my world, my everything. I was so lost in my thoughts, that when I felt someone grab me I went into defense mode. “What do you want Chelsea?”, I asked.

Chelsea was a girl that was constantly trying to get me to sleep with her, I wouldn’t touch her with a ten foot pole. She was more of a w***e then I was. “Oh, don’t be like that, how much longer are you going to pretend that you don't want me?”, she batted her fake eyelashes. I looked at her, disgust all over my face, she was shaped like a twelve year old boy.

“I’m not pretending now get the hell away from me”, I shoved past her to get to my house. When I walked in my mother greeted me as usual. My mom is the best, she knows who I truly am. I walked to my room to get ready for my mates birthday, I already missed her so much. I decided against a shower, I wanted her scent to stay on me, her lips tasted so good. And when out tongues fought for dominance I knew she was all I needed.

“She is beautiful, our mate is perfect”, chimed in my wolf. I couldn't agree more, I knew I was already whipped. “Well aren't you happy”, I heard my brother Charlie say from behind me.

“I didn't hear you come in, you okay bro?”, I asked. “How is it that you got blessed with Loralei? She is to pure for you”, Charlie asked annoyed. “I didn't ask for her to be my mate, but she is. And she is perfect, what is your problem?”, I asked, starting to get angry. “You don't deserve her”, Charlie shrugged. 

“He is jealous”, Magnus said to me, making me angry. “She is mine, whether I deserve her or not. The Moon Goddess thinks I am worthy of her, why are you being an asshole?”, I asked. I never understood why Charlie always fought with me, I always tried to be a good brother to him. I used to want to be like him, until he made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with me. 

Charlie looked at me and sniffed the air, his eyes locked onto my freshly made mark, “She marked you”, he angrily said. Before I could get a word out, our dad walked in, “Is there a problem?”, he asked. Charlie angrily walked out my room, “I don't know why he hates me dad”, I said. My dad sighed, “Trent, I just wanted to say that I am proud of you, but are you serious about the Alpha?”, he asked. I was starting to get pissed off, and a bit offended, “She is my mate, my heart already belongs to her. I won’t hurt her dad, she is already all I could think about, all I want”, I told him earnestly. He smiled at me, “Good son, that’s all I wanted to hear”, he looked at my mark, surprise on his face.

“Looks like Lyla has marked her territory”, he tried to suppress his laughter, “See you at the party”, he left my room. 

“Magnus, why do you think Charlie hates me?”, I asked him. “I don’t think he hates us, I know that he is jealous of you though?’, he said. “I haven't done anything to him”, I was confused, I tried so many times over the years to get close to him. “It’s not for me to say”, Magnus said and cut the link. What the hell. 

I changed into a pair of clean jeans, a white tee shirt, and my black running shoes. I left in search of my gorgeous girl.

Loralei POV

I walked around the party and thanked everyone for coming to our birthday celebration. I could barely focus, my eyes kept looking for Trent. I couldn't believe I had two mates, and they were completely different from one another.

I grew up with Jack, he is my first love, the man who was there for me when I needed him the most. His gorgeous green eyes and blonde hair, his six foot two body frame towered over me. I loved how rough he could be, but also how he was only sweet to me, our lycan’s were crazy about each other.

As I looked for Trent, my second mate, I couldn't help but smile. I couldn't believe I had a second mate. His silky curly brown hair, olive skin, and hazel eyes. He was also gorgeous, he would tease me when we were children, and we trained daily together. I never would of thought he was mine, I know he meant it when he said that he would do whatever was necessary and prove his love and loyalty to me. Truth is, he had me, the minute he came into my room and the smell of hot chocolate and pine hit my nose, as scared and confused as I was. I knew he was meant to be mine.

“You know those sluts will be after him, right?”, Lyla said. She paced angrily in my head, “I trust him, he submitted to us, he won't hurt us”, I said, trying to calm her down. “It’s not him I’m worried about, if those bitches go near our mate, I don't think I could control myself”, she said. “Lyla, calm down, he is ours”, I said to my possessive Lycan. “That he is”, she said confidently.

I looked up and smiled, Jack was walking towards me with my drink, “How can he look this good, just carrying a drink?”, I asked myself. Trent was right next to him, his sexy smirk playing on his lips. 

Unknown POV

“How is the plan coming along?”, I asked my right hand. “Everything is on track sir, in two days we make our move”, he answered. “Good, now leave me”, I wanted to be alone.

Finally I will have what is rightfully mine, the princess will be mine. I think I’ll kill her mate in front of her, just so that she’ll know what it’s like to lose the person you love the most. My life was destroyed because of her mother, so I will destroy her life in exchange. She will be mine, I will use her as I want when I want. The knock at my door brought me out of my thoughts. “What do you want”, I asked my sister. “You promised me that if I got into Silver Moon, you’d give me what I wanted”, she screeched. 

“Stop whining, soon enough sister, you will have that Brent”, I needed her to stick to the plan. She smiled and came to hug me, “You’re the best brother, and his name is Trent”, she happily walked out the room. Stupid girl, she will be the first person I”ll kill once I have the princess, I can't take much more of her spoiled ass. 

I need to move forward and avenge the only family I ever had, she will pay for her mothers mistake.

At the party

I watched my mates walk towards me, I could feel my cheeks burning, the pack members looked on curiously. “Hi beautiful”, Jack pecked my lips. “Hi nani”, Trent placed a kiss on my lips. (Hi Gorgeous) the onlookers definitely looked even more curious at the exchange they just saw. “You have to make an announcement soon baby”, Jack encouraged her. 

“I will make an announcement tomorrow, I just want to enjoy my birthday”, she compromised. “Ok babe”, both men said at the same time. From my peripheral I could see the pack slut Chelsea walking our way. “Want to dance Trent?”, she asked, batting her fake eyelashes. Before I could say anything Lyla came forward, “Get your hand off my mate”, she growled lowly, not trying to make a scene. 

Chelsea looked confused, she looked at me then at Jack. “You heard my mate, get the f**k away from us”, Jack growled lowly. She looked at me with so much hate and walked off. “Baby, I swear I never-“, cut off. “I know”, I cut him off. I knew that he never hooked up with her, I remember hearing Trent and my brother Adonis talking about her one day. Chelsea had slept around more than they did, they kept saying how she wouldn't stop chasing after them, like a lost puppy or something. 

The party continued on, for the next few hours I danced with my mates, my brothers, and my dads. I talked to the surrounding pack Alpha’s and hung out with my best friends, Ava and Aria. My feet were killing me, but I was having a great time. I walked over to my mom, she was talking to Grandma and Aunt Tasi. It must of been serious, because once I showed up, they stood quiet. 

“Hi momma, can you change my outfit please?”, I pouted my lips. She just giggled, and a flick of her hand later, I stood in a simple knee length white silk dress with white gladiator sandals. “Thank you mom”, I kissed her on the cheek and went to find my mates.

My dad Xander grabbed my hand, “We’re going to be making some announcements honey”, he led me onto the stage, where my brothers were all walking up from the opposite end to join us. Mom, Aunt Nahla, and Aunt Tasi joined us as well. “I wonder why Aunt Tasi is up here?”, I asked myself. 

My mother cleared her throat to gather everyones attention, “Thank you all so much for coming out today”, the crowd cheered. “Today we celebrate the birthdays of our babies”, Aunt Nahla added. The crowd began getting louder, my brothers all grinned like a bunch of idiots, while I’m sure I was as red as a tomato. First and foremost we’d like to wish them a happy eighteenth birthday!”, my mom squealed. My Aunt Nahla walked to the other side of the stage, she raised her hand and removed a shield she had in place. “Ahhh”, my brothers and I jumped up and down. There were four brand new Rams 1500 TRX trucks in four different colors. 

My brothers and I loved driving big trucks, we were not into all the fancy cars. “Before you check them out, we have a few more announcements”, my mom and aunt said at the same time, as they laughed. 

My fathers both looked at the crowd, “On the next full moon, we will be crowning Alpha Prince Lennox as the new Alpha and King of Silver Moon”, they announced. The pack went wild, most shifting into their animal form and howled into the night sky. After a few minutes they cleared their throat, “At this time, Princess Ava will be crowned the Luna and Queen of Silver Moon”, they announced. The pack continued to howl in celebration, and those who did not shift cheered and hollered.

My Mother and Aunt raised their hands, “During the next full moon, Alpha Princess Loralei, will be crowned the Queen of Andora, along with her mates”, my aunt said. Most of the pack looked confused at the mention of mates, so I stepped forward. Here is goes, “This morning I found out that my mermaid form has a mate, I’m proud to introduce Head Tracker Trent Lautnie, as my second mate”, I took a deep breath, I was so nervous when I knew I shouldn't be. 

The crowd erupted into cheers and congratulations filled my head through my mind link. I looked at my mates who both looked at me proudly, I smiled at them, “I can't wait to have Jack tonight”, Lyla perked up. “You horny beast”, I scolded her. “Your thoughts are loud baby”, Jack said in my mind. “Be prepared to be punished, you have been naughty mate”, he finished before cutting the link. 

“What did I do?”, I asked Lyla. “Who cares, I think I’ll like to see this punishment, better yet, feel it”, she growled in approval. I looked at Jack, who winked at me, I bet my face was flushed with embarrassment. “We have one last announcement”, my dads said, bringing my thoughts back to the present. 

“Queen Tasi”, my dad Xander nodded to my aunt. She stepped forward, “Good evening”, she started. “I’d like to announce that on the next full moon, Alpha Princes’ Adonis and Ares will be my successors, they will be crowned the Kings of Delmare”, she said. 

I did not expect that, my brothers were going to be amazing Kings.
