"...head...arms...shoulders..." partial words scattered across Nick's consciousness as he slowly became aware of his surroundings. His blurry vision gradually began to clear and he realized he was looking at a navigation screen with its maps and sensor readings. Two white boxes in the bottom right quadrant of the screen showed their current position relative to the galactic hub.
All vessels’ navigation systems used the center of the galaxy to calculate distance between star systems and to calculate FTL jumps.
