Chase was glad that Simon seemed to have bounced back from his injuries just fine, and that wasn’t astonishing to him. Nothing much surprised him anymore. After all, he and Simon were currently living in the year 3022, and medical advancements over the past one thousand years were truly incredible. Illnesses and bleeding wounds that would have required hours, days, months, or even years to treat back in 2022 could be dealt with and cured within minutes now. Unfortunately, many new diseases were challenging and difficult to handle even by the present standards.
