My heart was beating fast in fear while I waited for him to answer my question. I don’t understand. He was really kind to Genius. He has been praising his father saying that he’s one of the best lawyers in the state. So I don’t understand. Why does he want to have revenge on him?
Dad looked at me with a smile so evil that sent goosebumps all over my body. “Well…” he shrugged. “For one, I hated him for putting me to prison.”
I narrowed my eyes at him. “What are you talking about, Dad?” I asked him and then it dawned on me. “Is…he the lawyer of…” I cannot continue finishing my sentence because I am already shaking in fear.
