“Happy graduation!” Genius kissed me on the lips while we were in our graduation gowns. He gave me a bouquet of flowers.
I chuckled. “Thank you! Congratulations to us!” I beamed. He’s hailed as the one with the highest Latin honors in the whole university while I graduated as a Dean’s lister.
“Are you coming with us?” he asked me. He’s been bugging me about coming to their family dinner but I refused. I want to visit my father and tell him that I have finally graduated using my own hard-earned money.
I shook my head. “I’ll just eat dinner with you tomorrow?” I suggested because I really can’t come with them tonight. I know his mother and she’s been very nice to me even though she’s always asking me if I am Genius’ girlfriend.
We decided to keep it down low. We have been best friends
