In the next two months, I went with Angel on two more jobs. We planned them to coincide with my normal days off at the bar. As she put it, “We don’t want your boss wondering what’s going on, and it’s not like we’re locked into a specific day when we have to take out the target.”
In both cases I was still there in a watch-and-learn situation. Once it was an ambush—a close up killing. The other time was from a distance, using a sniper rifle. Angel was deadly with that—two shots perfectly placed to drop the target in his tracks before anyone knew what was happening.
