Athena POV:

“Athena I was worried you took a long time getting a dress”, Dad says worriedly as I walked in the door.

“Dad, I am sorry I got the dress than I met someone, and we had lunch”, I said with a smile thinking about Stone.

“Oh, really how did you meet this person”, he says crossing his arms.

“I met HIM by bumping into him literally. I wasn’t watching where I was going and bumped into him”

“Yeah, dad I was so excited about the dress I wasn’t watching where I was going. Dome to find out he owns the whole mall”, I said excitedly.

“Sounds like a shifter to me. Baby, you need to be careful, I know you take your suppressants but still be careful”, dad says with a sad look on his face.

“He does look like a shifter more like a God, not a shifter. Anyway, I was close enough to smell him, and to notice her did not try to smell me once”, I said trying to ease my dad's suspicion of this man.

I give my dad a hug and go upstairs to put my dress up. I kind of hope Stone will call or text. It's been a while since I had s*x or been in a relationship, and Stone had me wet, wet. Mr. Lished have a lot of conference calls tomorrow, so it looks like I will be stuck in the office making or canceling contracts. I really didn’t want to get out but it could be work or something else important. When I grabbed my phone, I was happy to see Stone text me.

Stone: Hello beautiful wanted to make sure you got home or wherever you were going safely.

Me: Hey, yeah, I got to my destination safely.

Stone: That great, also I was wondering if you are free this weekend. I know you said you don’t work on weekends, but I wanted to see if you have any plans.

Me: No, I have no plans.

Stone: Now you do.

Me: And which day do I have plans?

Stone: Friday night and Saturday night.

Me: Okay…

Stone: Don’t worry I will pick you up Friday night bring you back home then pick you up at noon on Saturday.

ME: Sound like a plan. What time Friday?

Stone: How about 7 pm.

Me: Okay you can pick me up from my job on both days if that is okay with you?

Stone: I will pick you up from anywhere you want.

Me: Okay, see you Friday. I will text the address later.

Stone: Okay, no problem.

Wow, I just met this guy and I have a date already. I don’t want him to know where I live yet. I damn sure don’t want dad to meet him yet, dad might scare him off like the others. I get off at 5, thank God there is a gym with a shower in the building I will use that to get ready and leave my car at the job. Now I have to find myself an outfit to wear. s**t, I have no idea where he is taking me on Friday. I instantly look at the weather for this weekend. Yes, it is going to be sunny. I go through my closet to find something to wear for both days. I found a grey satin one-shoulder dress, that hugs my curves my work heels will go great with it. As for Saturday, I will pack a green lace romper with black sneakers for the day and a black short sleeve sheath dress for the night. I hope he doesn’t ask me why I am having him meet me at my place of work.

Me: The address to pick me up at is 69 Spring Way.

Stone: Okay, See you Friday.

Thursday yes, it's Thursday Friday can’t come quick enough for me, I even went to sleep early just for Thursday to come early. I was early for work and I was surprised that everyone is running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I see one of the employees that work in finance and she is sweating bullets. I bump into her and she starts crying, what the hell is going on?

“Athena thank goodness you are here”. Lished said

“Mr. Lished what’s going on everyone is going crazy?”, I asked.

“Well, that bastard Lycian bought all of the companies we were going to get out building supplies from, who won’t see to us. Requiem is beyond pissed he literally wants to fire anyone who looks at him”, Mr. Lished said worriedly.

“Ok so because one of this company's rival companies brought the companies that we were getting building supplies from is the reason why everyone is running around going crazy?”, I asked.

“Yeah, pretty much. Those companies were essential to the building project we have planned. Without them we might not be able to start to build on time”, I can't believe these people are acting like the world is going to end because of this, there are many smaller start-up companies that would love to work with us.

“I am going to make some coffee and go to the boardroom. Come there in an hour okay”, I said and he looked at me like I have just grown an extra head.

“Well, I thought I was the boss but okay. And may I ask why”

“Nope just trust me”, I said as I walked away.

I go to my best and pull out my French press, add my coffee, and then I went to get some hot water. As I waited for my coffee to set, I look up some eco-friendly building material companies within Five miles of the office. I found some good ones, some of these companies have been around for years. I chose the companies based on the companies that were bought by that asshole. I called all of them to inquire about the amount of material we need and how much it will cost. I wrote down everything as I sipped my coffee.

Reclaimed wood a company that repurposes different types of wood for building; Tires for homes which take used tires and melt them down to make rubber bricks; Eco glass is a company that used sea glass and other used class material to make windows, flooring, countertops and other goods; AshCrete unlimited; Steel for the Future is a company that uses prior used steel for building uses; EcoPave recycled glass bottles and stone aggregate to create gorgeous driveways, pathways, and sidewalks. After all the phone calls and quotes, I totaled the numbers and they are one and a half million dollars. Since the cost of building material originally was nineteen million dollars. Lycian buying the companies we were going to buy the building materials from actually saved us seventeen and a half million dollars.

As soon as I put all the information together neatly Mr.Lished walked in still looking worried. He sits down all I slide him over the notes, quotes, and timeline together. I pour both of us a cup of coffee and drink mine while he reads my notes and does his own math. I watch as he nods and smiles at the notepad.

“Athena you are a f*****g miracle”, he said as he gets up and hug me.

“No just doing my job as your assistant”, I said with a smile.

“Your job as an assistant? You went above and beyond your job”, he said smiling.

“No, my job as an assistant is to help you and I did”, I said with pride.

“If this checks out which I know I will you will end up being assistant financial director”, he said, and I could hide my excitement.

I might get a promotion and I have a hot date the whole weekend this day couldn’t get any better. We go back to our department and I watch him copy my notes and send them to the CEO. I was surprised when he typed that it was all my idea and that I should be promoted to assistant financial director, which is funny because that position doesn’t exist in the company. The rest of the day I spent creating company checks to pay the companies after the legal department sent the contracts and they were signed.
