SAVINA’S POV
The walk home came with a cloud of unsettling feelings: worry, fear, and everything else in between. I was used to making enemies for crimes I did not commit, all of whom wouldn’t hesitate to go by the sword if need be.
And I? I just happened to be somewhere in the middle of their entire drama.
“So, what do you plan to do now?” Nadia broke the minutes-long silence that hung between us. “I mean, Pandora didn’t look like she’s going to sit back in a corner.”
For someone who most likely staged my accident, it was unlikely. There was a threat behind the last words she’d thrown at me, as if things were about to go very ugly.
Sighing, I followed her through the Palace’s garden and towards the gate.
“It’s impossible to know what to do when I can’t guess what her plan is.”
