After talking to Qaletaqa Richard sat down under a tree to rest for a while. He wanted to give the warrior some time to ride away. So about thirty minutes later he calls the search party off. Just as he said he would. He didn't give Howard, Joseph, or the men a reason. But he ordered them not to search for his daughter and the girls. Richard told them that he would be handling things his way from here on out.
Howard is not happy about it, because he wants Isabell. He could care less about getting Audrey back. "I have been waiting for Isabell to come of age. Then I was planning on taking her away in the middle of the night. That is the only reason why I married Betty's drunk ass. But I had to beat Isabell and Audrey to show them that they would obey me. Also to make them scared and weak."
