We watched in horror and in awe as Ellora’s body burst into flames. It was terrible yet beautiful. I knew others had entered the room, but I couldn’t worry about that now. I was confused as to why my best friend was literally on fire.
“Riley!” someone shouted out, but I paid no attention to them as Ellora’s body seemed to rise up. The sight before us was breathtaking. Ellora’s body hung in the air engulfed in flames that seemed to look like some kind of bird.
“Phoenix!” someone else shouted out and I stopped, thinking about it. Phoenix. I had read about it, but I had believed it was to be a myth not reality.
