Lily went to the school after her training and breakfast. She knew that it was pointless getting there early, but she wanted to see how they had managed the place in the day that she had been away. She tapped the window, was let in and went straight to the kitchen. It was spotless, except for the dishes on the draining board, because it hadn’t been used since she was last there. Next she looked in the shower rooms: the boys’ was still a pig sty and the girls’ was still passable. She went back to the kitchen and made herself a cup of coffee.
