FIGHTING FOR HIM.
RYAN’S POV
Who is having the last laugh now? I thought to myself as I took the elevator to go to the ground floor. Mrs. Dora is going to be embarrassed when she finds out that I am supposed to work here. She denied me the chance but the CEO gave it to me.
As per now, there is nothing that she can do about it. I am here to stay.
“Excuse me, I need to talk to you,” I was lucky to find her as she was leaving her office.
“What are you still doing here?” She was angry to see me still hanging at the hole where she chased me from.
“Well, there is something that I want to talk to you about,” I told her in a calm voice. I was not about to waste my time with her. I have the job already and all that I expect from her was to put me in the system and to give me an orientation of what I was supposed to be doing.
“I don’t have the time,” She said checking at her wristwatch.
“I also don’t have the time to waste going back and forth with you. I am just from the CEO’s office and he told me to report to work.” I told her this and she burst into a laugh.
“The CEO! Do you really know who the hell you are talking about?” She asked me this.
“I am talking about the CEO of the Grand Hotel and that is none other than Brody Cox. He sent me to you with an order which states that you should ad me to the employees list,” I told her and she could barely believe me.
“You are not only a liar, but you are also so stupid. I know this trick. Don’t think that you can come here and lie on my face. Since when has the CEO of this hotel ever allowed someone like you to step into his office?” She asked me and I remained silent.
“Leave this place or I will call the bouncers to drag you out,” She yelled but I didn’t move.
I only looked up and our eyes met.
“You have made a wrong decision to go against the CEO’s orders. You will pay for this dearly, I assure you. You don’t know whom you are messing with,” I told her before I walked away.
I was going back to tell Brody about her. Who was she to go against his orders? This means that she is among the people betraying The Grand Hotel.
People like her should be sacked from this hotel.
I rushed back to the elevator and pressed the last button. I sat there in silence and it was such a relief when I got to that floor.
I was about to go to his office when Alex showed up.
What the heck is wrong with this man? Why is he always in my business?
“Where do you think you are going? “He asked me.
“I want to see him,” I said this knowing that he knows that it was Brody I was talking about.
“Whom do you think you are?” He asked me.
“Excuse me,”
“Whom do you think you are Ryan?” He asked moving closer and blocking me with his chest. I get that he is a well-built man. With that being said, he should stop this stupid show that he is conducting.
“I want to see Brody. If you don’t allow me to go and see him right now, I will tell him about how you are intimidating me. Trust me, he will not be pleased to hear about that,” I warned.
“Go on, tell him. Do you think that you scare me?” He stepped aside for me to walk and I confidently walked into Brody’s office.
Fuck, he was not around. Alex was doing all this because he knew that Brody was not around.
“Where is he?” I walked out and inquired.
“I thought that you were going to tell him everything that happened here,” Alex ridiculed me.
“Tell me where he is. That is all that I want to know,” I yelled.
“Kiss my ass,” Alex said bursting into a forced laughter.
“I can read your mind Ryan. I know exactly what you are doing. Do you think that Brody will fall for your lies?” He asked.
“I want to see Brody,” I insisted.
“Listen first, I will tell you where he is, okay. Be calm. I have something to tell you,” Alex insisted.
“Go right ahead, I am listening,” I shrugged.
“Brody and I go way back. He likes me by the way. I have known him since day one. You mean nothing to him. Don’t think that he will ever be attracted to you. He only likes my type. Okay?” Alex bragged.
“If he liked you, then he should never have kicked you out the last time I was talking to him,” I mumbled.
“f**k you man, I will make you suffer,” He threatened.
“You don’t know whom you are dealing with,” I assured him this.
“What are you talking about?” He implored.
“Don’t judge a book by its cover. I can ruin you too. Don’t be so sure that it will be the other way around,” I warned.
“f**k you,” He cursed.
“Where the heck is Brody?” I asked once again.
“I am not going to tell you, okay. Now leave, or else I will drag you out myself,” He said through gritted teeth.
Since I did not want to fight with this stupid man, I chose to leave, but right after I gave him a piece of my mind.
“Listen, Brody will be mine soon. I can feel it already. You can feel it too and that is why you are so bothered with my presence. Brody will never love someone like you. We both know that,” I didn’t care about his reaction as I said this, word by word.
Everything that I said was nothing but the truth. If Brody loves Alex as he is insisting, then, he would have shown it when I was at his office.
Alex is just blocking me and I am going to get him out of the way. I know how to deal with such people. After all, that is what I occasionally did in my last job. I am good at eliminating people like him.
He was not going to be at The Grand Hotel for too long.
Since Brody was not around, I decided that I should just go home and rest. I was definitely going to look for him tomorrow, early in the morning to be precise.
I was just walking out of the Hotel when I received the call.
Fuck, how is this even possible?
I was sweating profusely as I picked the call. This was my worst nightmare.
“Hurry or we will get done with her!” They threatened me and I felt powerless after this. I wish that there was something that I could do about this.
This was getting out of hand and I needed to work as fast as possible.
