Izzy’s POV
I emerge from the royal penthouse just before lunchtime, since I want to make sure the Prince is awake. I’m happy and surprised to find that Gavin isn’t waiting for me, ready to escort me everywhere after his bad mood earlier. I can do without his surly attitude right now.
Seriously? If Gavin really didn’t want the job of being my gamma, all he had to do was say no when it was offered to him. Am I right? There’s no point in being all grouchy about it, in my opinion.
I head down the staircase to the next floor, heading straight to Eli’s door, and knock gently.
