"Nahi. It's okay. Baba must be waiting for me." He stated as he waited for me to get inside the house, closing the door, he nodded at me as he sat inside his car.
Locking the door, as i entered inside Ammi stood on the threshold, sizing me up. I looked at her scared, not knowing what she's going to say or do next but when she just left without a word, and a smile on her face, all i knew was, i am doomed for sure.
Ammi thought I'm trying to make progress with him. If only she knew how hard it was to stand so close to him, finding him vulnerable for a few seconds before he pulled himself back together. His presence had given chills down my spine. I could barely stand straight as he took my support.
I got relieved as he stepped back
