After leaving my office, I was about to pass by Dad’s office when I heard voices and whispers coming from inside his office. Checking the time, I noticed that it was 10.38 p.m., which made me wonder who was talking to Dad so late at night. Then, I saw a tiny ray of light falling into the gloomy corridor from Dad’s office, so I presumed he was working late. But, as I got closer to his door, I recognized the voices as Dad’s voice and surprisingly, Lexi’s.
What is she doing here at this time?
Since the door was slightly open, I thought that Lexi was about to leave Dad’s office after she met him to discuss my security details. Curious, I approached the door and was about to enter the room when I heard Dad’s voice clearly. The shocking admission he was revealing made me freeze
