POV: Conrad
Hmm. Last night was just the pick me up I needed. We marked Lydia. It feels amazing. I can feel her and mindlink with her. When we mate we will be able to know what she's thinking and feeling. For now I can just feel where she is for now. That does put me at ease a bit though. Now if she's taken I'll be able to know where she is.
Lydia is still sound asleep. I don't expect her to do much today. The mark took a lot out of her. "The mark is a key component in preparation. Some of her power is now being shared with us." River tells me. I still have no idea what is to happen to us on the blood moon. They won't tell us. Lydia won't even tell us. She says it is a good thing though.
