When Sage pulled up a chair and joined us out on the deck I thought I would finally get to spend time with her in a casual, relaxed social setting. I was hoping that she’d loosen up a bit around her friends and maybe have some fun.
But then Ryan showed up.
“Luna, we have a situation,” he said.
He looked uncomfortable interrupting our conversation. I got the impression he was trying to mindlink Sage to keep the news private.
