“You f*****g i***t!” she yelled loud enough for the whole hospital wing to hear.
“It was to save your life,” he groaned.
“I don’t give a s**t, it almost cost you your own life!”
“But…”
“No!” she screamed. It was probably the first time she had ever raised her voice at him. “Don’t you ever do something like that again!” She was using her alpha voice now. “We are a team. Even in a fight,” she said a little softer.
I decided I should go in and save him before she started yelling again. I walked into the hospital room and saw Ben propped up with pillows in the bed. His head still had a bandage on it but the rest of him looked okay.
