Kaylie begins to recount the events of when she encountered Leah.
"I walked towards my duty station at the hospital, which is located in the middle of the forest. As I reached the intersection, suddenly there was a strong gust of wind and two large black shadows. I felt a slight fear, but I dismissed it, assuming that the shadows are just large eagles returning to their nest. But then I heard a loud crash and a sound of pain. Being a doctor, I ran towards the sound, and there I found a wounded wolf with a bloody gash tearing through her abdomen. Even though I'm not a veterinarian, I knew I had to help the wolf.
