Chapter 6 Barclay had suggested some of the slave children carry their bags to their suite. Nick’s chest filled with pride when Todd didn’t hesitate even a second before rejecting Barclay’s offer and added a glare that made Barclay fidget and stumble over his words. “That woman was a pyrahni,” Nick said softly as soon as the door to their accommodations was shut.
