Valerie’s POV
The drive didn’t take very long, but then, I had been studying Aries’s features all the way and wouldn’t even have noticed if the world came to an end around us. He looked reserved, but I could feel the storm brewing inside him. There was so much to say, but I was at a complete loss for words.
We pulled up outside his beautiful home and Emily came running out of the front door. Grabbing hold of me so tightly, she almost pulled me out of Aries’ arms. He didn’t put me down as we walked inside and he took me straight to my old room.
