Valerie’s POV
Pacing my bedroom, I bit my thumbnail while trying to figure out if it was safe to leave my room. I spent most of the night trying to figure out if my Dom was someone from my pack. I tried to remember his voice as best I could and scanned through all the male faces of our pack, but I came up with nothing.
“Oh, this is stupid!” I threw my hands in the air in frustration.
“Leaving there was stupid.” Kali co.cked her eyebrow at me, and I would have strangled her if I could.
“Yeah, right! First off, I had a panic attack, okay! Secondly, it was only for research. I never meant to actually be tied up and fu.cked!” If she was a real wolf, I would probably have been able to growl at her, but no growl was forthcoming, and she was gone before I could say anything else.
