PIECES CHAPTER 1 EXCERPTIntroduction
Here's another story that might yet come to life as a full-blown comic. I wrote "Pieces" as an audition and series pitch for the Vertigo arm of DC Comics. Though it failed to catch fire at Vertigo, I still loved the script and the ideas behind it. Not to mention, I worked out the full arc of the series for the proposal that I submitted to Vertigo...and, frankly, I thought it rocked. I still do, and I'd still love to make this one happen. The concept of a guy who is literally full of holes, hunting down his errant body parts that have taken on humanoid lives of their own, just strikes me as cool. And then there's the overlap with my all-time favorite dream project, a maxi-series that I will definitely write and Kickstart in the very near future.
