Anna obeyed the fat woman. Leaping, finding support on the woman’s shoulder, she followed, to wherever the dining room was and immediately, her host’s eyes twinkled back to normal. On entering the dark hallway again, Anna soon finds out there were shut doors scattered along the passage. The fat woman moved swiftly about the place, with bold steps that had mastered every nook and cranny of the castle.
“This way, my child,” the woman motioned kindly to the only open door in the hallway, and they entered yet another large room with very high walls. A dining table at the centre carried different mouth-watering dishes, but Anna was not moved.
