Cordelia ascended the stairs until she was at the last floor. She held the tray tight as she moved, her heart palpitating with thoughts of the unknown that awaited her at the mistress’s chamber this morning. Clearly, she has again disobeyed the mistress by not respecting her boundaries. The mistress had instructed her to only reveal to Anna that there was indeed a prisoner, a Prince of Ascencia, and that she should tell Anna everything of how herself and the Prince was abducted to this place. But Cordelia had done beyond that. She had crossed her boundaries by telling Anna about the secret passage, had even given her the key and a chance to meet with the Prince. This spelt doom as long as the mistress was concerned and so, Cordelia prayed her as she stopped before the mistress’s door. She
