Chapter Four...A New Life

*Kim POV*

It has been a few days since that fateful encounter with Xander. He explained everything to me. He told me that he was a werewolf and that I was his mate. I laughed at the beginning because what normal person wouldn't, I mean seriously I thought he was a lunatic. I didn't believe him until he shifted right in front of me. Zeus, which I found out after the shift, was not very happy that I laughed at him and didn't believe. My ass is still sore from his punishment. Both of them were very possessive and controlling for a mate. I found out that I can never go back to my old life. I am still a little unsure of this, but every day that passes I feel a little more comfortable here. Xander told me that he knew about my father and my past, which means that Fran told him. I found out that her and Max were werewolves as well. Which makes everything I remember from that day make alot of sense. The mindlink, Alpha, and human. I was the human and they were talking about Xander, because he used what they call mindlink to contact her since she is a part of the his pack. I have yet to mark Xander though. I am a bit nervous about it, but Xander said it has to be done soon, otherwise our bond could be weak and vulnerable. He told me that other werewolves would think him not capable of running a pack and question his authority, which means bad werewolves or supernatural creatures could try and attack us. I would never want to put Xander or his pack..... I mean our pack in danger. Zeus gets very upset when I don't say our pack. He doesn't like it when I don't accept my place as Luna. I still feel unsure of my future but I am trying to accept what fate has given me or as Xander says The Moon Goddess Selene.

I have met his best friend Steven a few times but in all honesty he scares me a lot. He makes me feel so insignificant. I have tried to tell Xander, but he doesn't listen to me. He just tells me that I am just not used to him yet, but I know that that isn't the case. Steven has an aura around him that is so evil, I just get chills to my bones. The looks and cruel smiles he gives me just make me sick. I try to avoid him at all costs. He hangs out with Xander all the time, but I just stay close to Xander and try to avoid talking to him.

I was walking back to our bedroom when I felt chills all over my body. No.... No... No... please don't let it be..... "Hello my Angel." whispered Steven seductively in my ear as he pushed me against the wall. We were up on the Alpha floor and no one came up here but Xander and I. I tried to get out of his hold, but he tightened his grip. My face was against the wall and he had my hands secured behind my back. "I'm n-not your Angel. I belong to Xander, not y-you. P-please leave me alone." I begged as I whispered softly. I heard him growl angrily and tighten his grip on me. I whimpered from the pain. "I saw you first. You should be mine. Don't worry though, my Angel, soon you will be mine forever." he said with a deadly calmness as he ran his nose down my neck and inhaled deeply. Then he vanished into thin air. I started shaking uncontrollably and felt the tears falling down my cheeks as I fell down the wall and grabbed my knees. I rocked back and forth as I sobbed. I didn't know what to do, or who to even tell. I felt helpless and vulnerable. Xander would get mad at me if I told him, because he wouldn't believe me. Maybe if I talked to Zeus. Hmmm....I wonder if that is possible to do without Xander hearing? I slowly got up as I continued trembling and walked towards the stairs. I made it down to Xander's office and knocked on the door. "Come in." I heard Xander say sternly. He didn't sound happy. I wonder what happened to him. I opened the door and all air left my lungs. I started shaking more and cowered in fear when I saw Steven standing next to a very upset Xander. Steven had a handprint on his face and was smirking evilly. "Why in the f**k did you hit Steven, Kim? We have talked about this several times." Xander said with an angry face. "I never touched him Xander, I swear. I would never go against you." I said trembling. "Don't worry Steven, I will take care of my mate and punish her accordingly." Xander said defeated. My eyes grew wide with shock. Punishment? But I didn't do anything wrong. Steven just nodded his head as Xander turned away from him and started walking towards me. Steven looked at me and blew a kiss at me as he smirked more cruelly than before and then he vanished into thin air. I stumbled backwards as Xander got closer, "P-please Xander, I didn't-" before I could finish Xander backhanded me and grabbed me and threw me over his shoulders. I was frozen in shock when he hit me. Once he walked out of his office with me screaming and thrashing over his shoulder I began panicking. "Please Xander, I didn't do anything. Please don't hurt me." I sobbed. I felt him tense once we were in our bedroom. He slowly let me down from his shoulders. "Why can't you believe me Xander. *hiccup* I have tried for you. *hiccup* I didn't hit Steven, even though I don't like him. He scares me. Why can't *hiccup* you trust me? He is up to something Xander, I can't trust him. Why do you? We are supposed to be in this together." I said crying. I could see that Xander was fighting with Zeus. He was looking at me with a defeated look. Xander cursed under his breath. I watched as Zeus took control over Xander. "My beautiful mate. I'm sorry for Xander and his behavior. He shouldn't have hit you. Don't worry I will deal with him later." Zeus said lovingly. I walked over to him and just cried in his arms. He rubbed his hand up and down my back. "Zeus. I need to talk to you, but only you. I don't want Xander to know just yet." I said cautiously. I watched as Zeus fought with Xander for control. "Ok mate, it is just me, but I don't know how long I can control Xander, because he is pissed and extremely hurt that you don't trust him." Zeus said as his whole body was tense. "Ha! Trust him? I just told him that I didn't slap Steven, but he believed that jerk over me. That's not all Zeus. I am scared for myself. Steven is constantly looking at me and smiling cruelly. He confronted me today and pinned me against the wall while I was on the Alpha floor." I said in fear. I watched as Zeus gritted his teeth and snarled angrily. "What the f**k did you just say! He did WHAT! I will kill that motherf****r!" Zeus said breathing heavily with his hands clenching my hips tightly. "That's not all Zeus," I said cautiously as I felt Zeus narrow his eyes and close his eyes because he was shaking uncontrollably with anger. "He called me his angel, then he proceeded to tell me that he saw me first and that I should be his, then *gulp* he told me not to worry because soon I would be his forever." I whispered softly as I trembled with fear. I watched in horror as Zeus lost it completely and shifted to his true form.
