“What happened to you?” Caitlynn asked Aspen as we took him to the infirmary. He had bruises and cuts all over his body that we think he’s been in a fight. Aspen winced in pain as Elisa started disinfecting his wounds. He has a long cut on his right arm. “I met some rogues on the way,” he replied in a strained voice. “I was about to go south of the border to look for a new place to stay.” Caitlynn sighed and sat beside him. I can see how concerned she is with her former pack member.
