"I'm starving!" Trevor bellowed impatiently. "Bring on the grub!" Everyone laughed. "Here," I added, holding out the paper bag to Markesha. "Pops gave us some sandwiches, too." "Who?" Markesha asked. "I'll tell you later," I said, smiling. "Well, we can eat the sandwiches while we wait. The stew isn't heated up all the way yet," Lisa interjected, stirring the big pot, as Markesha and Brittany brought out some loaves of bread and handed out Pop's sandwiches. "I'll eat it raw! I don't care," Trevor said, practically licking his lips, inhaling the stew's sweet aroma. "It smells delicious!"
