After all the gruesome hours of school, I went home and plopped my self down on my bed and scrolled through my phone. The girls told me that they would be here by 6 so I decided to freshen up. I took a shower and dried my hair but not with a hair dryer because that would damage my hair I heard the the door bell ring and I  made my way downstairs to the door. I opened the door and there stood 3 very excited girls. They all carried a bag which I assumed held their makeup supplies. "Hey girls, come on in." I stepped away from the door and gestured to my house. "Your house is very pretty." Emily complimented, looking around my house. "Thanks. Let's head upstairs to my room." I went up the stairs with Candice, Emily and Jade following me to my room. "Oh my! I wish my room was like this!" Candice exclaimed setting down her stuff on my bed and the others did the same. "Ok. So I got you this dress, it's very pretty" Jade said taking out a dress from a bag. The dress was absolutely beautiful. It was a black dress that ended just below my knees. It had a lace on the top that gave it a very elegant look and little sequins that made the dress sparkle. I stared at the dress in awe and so did the other girls. Jade just giggled. "I knew you would like it! Go try this baby on." She ushered me into the bathroom and we all giggled like we were in 7th grade. I quickly undressed and slid the smooth material down my body. "Ok I'm ready." I said a few minutes later. "Come out here and show us the curves you've been hiding!" Candice hollered. I got out and the girls couldn't help but smile widely. Emily rushed over to me and turned me around to face the long length mirror that was in my room and this time it was my turn to beam. The dress fit me perfectly and it hugged my curves like its life depended on it. It also made my dull gray eyes stand out and also make my legs look longer. "You look amazing" Emily complimented. "She's right. You're gonna steal the spotlight today" Jade said excitedly. "Ok girls now that Sierra looks amazing, we have to look good too. Let's change and then we'll team up on Sierra's makeup" Candice ordered. After a few minutes everyone was ready and dolled up. I had a smokey eye makeup done for myself and I barely could recognize myself in the mirror. The girls looked even prettier than they already were and were now busy doing last minute touch ups. The makeup and the dress made my eyes stand out a lot and I couldn't help but finally feel pretty for once in a long time. The party would start in only a few minutes so we made our way over to Emily's house. I drove my own car there so I could leave whenever I wanted to. Her house was a modern two story house with a wrap around porch. It looked very welcoming and I complimented her house as she did mine. We met up with the boys that were busy setting up the alcohol table and beer pong tables too. After sometime the guests started to arrive and the party got started. People were everywhere with red silicon cups in their hands that were filled with alcohol. I wasn't much of a drinker and that's not because I get drunk easily it's just that I don't like what drinking does to you, adding the fact that I had to drive home. I did not mind the occasional glass of wine or champagne though. I already lost the girls at the party because of the amount of people present in the house. I chatted with some people and made a few friends but soon I wanted to get out of the place and get some fresh air. I got out the house and sucked in a breath of air and calmed down. The loud music hurt my ears and I needed peace and quiet and I knew the perfect place to get that. I texted Emily saying that I got tired and I'm heading home. I drove my car out of the Emily's driveway and made my way home. Once I reached there I wiped off my makeup and and took a hot shower and changed into something much more comfortable like my sweatpants and some random oversized shirt. I knew that I looked ragged but who was going to see me anyway? I did not really feel sleepy though so I decided to do some reading for my English class. I stepped out of the house with a book in my hand and made my way out onto my front porch where a few lounge chairs were present and turned on the lightbulb hanging on the side of the wall, the air had a nice and cool breeze and I quickly grew comfortable. I opened my book and started to read. It was a while until I started to get sleepy and I got up to head to bed but all the sleepiness went away when I heard a twig snap somewhere in the forest that my house faced. I frantically looked around and took a step forward towards my front door but then I saw a bush rustle. "Nope, nope, nopitty nope. Literally anyone has taught me to run in these kind of situations." I said hurriedly, turning the doorknob on my front door but it seemed like it was stuck Right then I heard heavy breathing behind me. I swirled around only to be faced by a massive f*****g wolf. Looks like the world hasn't taught me enough. My eyes went wide at the sight of the wolf. Sure I loved animals but not a mutant animals. The wolf stared at me in interest. It's eyes were glowing a pure gold, it slowly started making its way to me. My breathe started coming out in pants and fear clouded my vision. I desperately tried to get the jammed knob to turn but to no avail . I remembered to never turn your back to a predator from animal planet so I turned around to face the wolf and put one of my hands in front of me and used the other one to try and get the door open. Black fur swirled around its form and it looked ridiculously soft, I had the stupid urge to pet it. "Get the hell back." I fearfully grounded out. It stepped forward and growled. It had a predatory looks in its eye, like it was going to eat me in seconds "Do you not understand English?" I asked the wolf like an i***t. "Of course it doesn't, stupid" I said aloud to myself. This was a habit of mine, whenever I got scared I began to try to talk to myself to calm down, in this case, it was not working. It took another step forward. "s**t s**t s**t s**t, I'd rather stab myself with a twig than to get eaten by a wolf. I never even got to finish my book! I hope I still get an A on that assignment." I ranted. The wolf took another huge step forward. Now it was just on the first step of my porch. I stared right at its golden orbs in terror. The wolf seemed to stare right into my soul and it studied me. Why the hell isn't this thing killing me? This is so weird. Then it did something even weirder. It bend down and rested its huge head on my the second step of my porch and I squeaked. It rested its ears flat on his head, making itself seem smaller as to not scare me. "What the hell are you doing?!" I hissed at it. It only lifted his head up slightly and slowly blinked at me like a cat. "Ok ok ok. Stop. Uhm. G-go to that bush and ju-just s-stay there." I said. It growled at me. "Ok ok ok don't do that just stay here and do nothing. What am I doing here?" I whispered the last part. There are supposed to be no wolves in Australia, I think the better question was, what was it doing here? The wolf bowed its head as if asking me to pet it. I stopped trying to open the door, there was something weird about this wolf. Was it domesticated? Maybe someone had a pet wolf in another country and bought it over to Australia because they could not stand being away from it? Highly unlikely. Maybe it escaped from an enclosure? But wouldn't the news or something else alerted citizens to look out for a wolf? The wolf still had its head bowed down but ever so often, its glowing eyes would look up at me as if it could not look it away. It slowly crawled towards me, its body still bent to not scare me. I was too interested to stop the wolf. I had a strong feeling that it would not hurt me. The wolf now lay two steps away from my socked feet. I crouched down and raised my hand, I really wanted to pet the wolf, I knew that if anyone saw me right now they would call the hospital to take me to a mental asylum. I bought my hand down on its soft fur and ran it through his fur. It purred. I kept on petting it and staring at in awe. I don't know how long I just crouched there but I was broken off my trance when my book fell out of my hand and landed with a thud on the ground. I jumped back and the wolf just looked into my soul again with a longing expression. I quickly shook that thought away, wolves don't look at people in sadness. It looked at my book and nudged it close to me for me to take it. I hesitantly bent down and snatched up the, never breaking  eye contact. "Thanks. Now stop staring at me like your'e going to cry before I stay here forever." I said holding the book to my chest. "I have no idea what's going on here but I like you and I want you to be mine forever so please don't be a dream and please don't die because I want to meet you here again." I said stroking its fur again. "Bye now, I have to go to school tomorrow and I don't want to stay up late." I said backing away. It growled when I backed away and came closer to me and licked my hand as if asking me to pet it again and I melted inside. "I'll see you tomorrow right here after school" I said. "See you later Wolfie." I tried turning the doorknob again and the door miraculously opened. I flashed it my biggest smile that revealed my dimples and its eyes widened but I don't know why. I made my way back to my house me leaving the wolf staring at me with wide eyes. I really needed to come up with a name for my wolf. I made my way upstairs to my room and looked out my window, I could see the front porch from this angle and I tiny frown marred my face as I noticed that the wolf was gone. I heard a long howl and my eyes snapped to the tree line. There, my wolf and I made eye contact. He was the first to turn away and ran into the forest. I kept the book down on my nigh table and went to bed with a smile as I thought of my new companion.
