Chapter 6 Life in the Rocks
The trio followed the Pek at a fast pace. Rain was confident that taking the gem from the 'dead' Death Knight would keep it from coming back for more. Yet none of them knew what else lurked around any of the corners they passed.
Barmek's stomach growled. His pace was slower than the others and he wheezed a lot during their travel. Rain tossed a small rock to the Dwarf, "Eat this."
Arastor bit his tongue to keep from laughing out loud. He found Barmek to be the least suited for a journey to find Arastor and bring him back to the Ruby Mountain. Arastor did not understand why the King chose such an odd character as Barmek.
More importantly, why did King Gimadin send someone for Arastor? Why go outside the Ruby Mountain for help? Barmek’s excuse about not wantin
