“You really met with the crowned alpha? And he wants to help take down the pack? And you agreed to help him? How is this possible?” Clara asks me, each question sounding more frantic than the last.
“I agreed to gather some information for him. We’ll see how helpful he can be.” I say.
“Why didn’t you just ask him to get you out of your engagement, or to get rid of Annabelle for you?” Clara asks.
