Chapter 3 – Breaking Loose Mel 5:00 AM Monday Morning, February 9th Muskingum County Sheriff’s Department I stumbled into the office to deal with the usual Monday paperwork as quickly as I could and then I was headed back out to the street. All hell was breaking loose out there. It seemed like it started as soon as I went off shift at 6:00 on Sunday. By midnight, on a couple of hours of sleep, I was back in uniform and working patrol to answer call after call.
