I woke up in the morning feeling more rested than I ever did. Although I could still feel the ache of when Mark attacked me yesterday. I looked at the empty space beside me and sighed. The dog must have left during the night. I didn’t know why, but that made me feel so sad. Of course, that was silly. It wasn’t like I could keep him or anything.
