Hearing the Dean say so, Emily thought she would have difficulty convincing the Dean.
"You can rest assured that I will do a good job in the handover, and it will take me two days to get the new doctors up to date."
Although she hoped to leave as soon as possible, there were still four or five patients in her hand, and even the operation date had been finalized. She couldn't pack up and leave. Even if she couldn't operate, she had to work out a detailed operation plan with the doctor who took over before leaving.
After Emily left the Dean's office, the Dean called the leader of Emily's department and asked him to delay the handover.
He didn't say that he was forced by Jones's family but said that he admired her talents but was willing to try whatever means he could keep Emily.
