Chapter 6Fred was pathetic. There had been so many people, and everyone had wanted to talk to Zen. It had been hard to breathe; the walls had been closing in. He’d been afraid he’d bump into someone or topple something over, so when Zen hadn’t been watching he’d slipped out. It was better this way. Zen could enjoy a beer with his friends and wouldn’t have to explain who Fred was and what he was doing there. And who was Justin? Zen had said Justin was his friend and that he would meet them in Manheim, but were they more than friends? He never should’ve come along. Zen would’ve been better off without him. Leaning against the ugly, red car, Fred rubbed his forehead. So stupid. “There you are.” Zen wrapped an arm around his shoulders and leaned against the car next to him. “Are you all ri
